We are looking for a content creator ready for the next level as a strategist who’s ready to take on a leadership role in building our member-led community. You’ve nailed content creation and you’re ready for the challenge of driving the strategy alongside our small but mighty team of freelance content creators. This role calls for 70% strategy and execution, and 30% content creation. If you’re ready to be a content leader and be a driving force behind our owned media and community initiatives, then this is where you want to be to grow and stretch your legs. We’re doing cool stuff and want someone who wants to join us, jumping in with both feet.

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for overseeing the content strategy, creating targeted and relevant content alongside our content freelance team, and distributing marketing communications to visitors on our owned media platform. This position will own the execution in getting this initiative off the ground and collaborate on the strategy and vision for the member-led owned community within the Utility industry.
  • Own the content marketing strategy, build on our “edutainment” initiative, and the analysis of what content is working and what content is not working, then pivot to drive success.
  • Driving business growth through engaging content and education through regular reporting on the visitor journey and top converting content pieces.
  • Partner with social media / digital marketing specialist to create original concepts and content that fuels engagement and organic social performance across a variety of social media channels including LinkedIn and Facebook.
  • Assist in developing organic social strategies across social channels with key Brand stakeholders including the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Management of external video and content partners.
  • Form relationships with content creators and subject matter experts who will contribute to the community.
  • Creation of email content and other assets as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of experience working in community and/ or content marketing, preferably in a startup
  • Creative problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial mindset environment
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude

Salary Range: $90-110k per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications
