Operations AI Adoption, Data Science, and Analytics Lead

AbbVie is seeking an Operations AI Adoption, Data Science, and Analytics Lead to spearhead the integration and optimization of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics within operations. The role will focus on driving the adoption of data-driven culture, building analytics capabilities, and achieving operational excellence through strategic and tactical initiatives.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or related field.
• Proven experience leading AI, data science or analytics projects, preferably within an operations or enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, data management, operational processes, and change management principles.
• Excellent leadership, project management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience with relevant tools and technologies (e.g., Python, R, SQL, cloud platforms, data visualization, process automation tools).
• 15+ years of experience in data governance, master data management, or digital transformation, ideally within life sciences or manufacturing.
• Proven expertise in data, digital, and governance frameworks.
• Experience leading governance in a matrixed, global environment, with ability to align stakeholders across Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, IT, etc.
• Familiarity with metadata tools, enterprise data lakes, and integration platforms.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (GxP/GMP, data integrity, auditability) in pharma manufacturing.
