Originating External Sales Manager role involves maintaining personal production, supervising Loan Originators, and recruiting new staff. Must be a sales-oriented self-starter with experience in the mortgage industry.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements of various mortgage insurance companies
  • Working knowledge of credit underwriting and property eligibility requirements for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding programs and private investors
  • Familiarity with local, state and national laws (e.g. zoning ordinances, Truth-in Lending, RESPA, energy audit requirements, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to analyze financial information
  • Ability to manage a staff of Loan Originators
  • Sales-oriented self-starter
  • 80% travel required
