Associate – Data Engineer – Chief Data Office

HKEX Chief Data Office Data Engineering team is looking for Associate Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. The role involves collaborating with data analysts, business stakeholders, and the Site Reliability Engineering team to ensure data integrity, performance, and availability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related technical field
• Hands-on experience with SparkSQL for data processing
• Familiarity with HDFS and distributed file systems
• Working experience with Trino, Presto, or other distributed SQL engines
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation
• Understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and pipeline design
• Basic knowledge of distributed computing and big data ecosystems
• Basic proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and verbal)
