Axios is hiring an Associate Director for local client partnerships to accelerate revenue growth across local markets through new partner acquisition and intentional account expansion. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of sales experience in the digital media/news industry, with a strong emphasis on outbound/new business development.

Requirements

5+ years’ experience in sales, specifically in the digital media/news industry, with a strong emphasis on outbound/new business development
Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets, particularly through new logo acquisition

Strong presence and confidence in selling to senior decision-makers
Experience developing territory or category-level sales strategies
Understanding of digital media, online marketing technology, and Axios’ competitive landscape
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to lead deal execution across internal teams
Existing relationships within local/regional advertiser and agency ecosystems preferred
Highly motivated, resilient, and energized by prospecting and closing
Willingness to travel and represent Axios in-market
