This role supports and/or leads all aspects of identifying and pursuing prospective client relationships to build and grow new business opportunities beneficial to Assurant Financial Services Business Unit and its financial institution clients.
Requirements
- BS/BA Degree (Finance, Marketing or Economics) preferred
- 6+ years business development, sales and/or marketing experience, strongly preferred in a major US based financial institution or Fintech company, or a financial-institution-focused consulting or research firm
- 5+ years interacting with mid to large clients and developing strategic relationships
- 5+ years in product development or project management
- Ability to build competitive intelligence library and prospecting database
- Able to conduct extensive company research and leverage cold calling and define and deliver across Assurant’s line of business opportunities
- Ability to mobilize resources across matrix structure
- Ability to perform independently; drive execution
- Working knowledge of key deal / contract elements
- Business / financial literacy
- Effective communication skills (effective pitching to senior leaders)
- Solid product knowledge/insights
