Role Overview
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and developing new business opportunities within a defined geographical area. You will need to implement sales strategies, and ensure the achievement of sales targets. You will work with a team to advance the release of effective, high-quality medicines, assure the safety of food and water, and drive better patient outcomes.

Develop and execute strategic sales plans, identify and cultivate new business opportunities, build and maintain strong customer relationships, prepare and deliver sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and monitor market trends.

Requirements
- Masters degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology/life sciences with Business Administration, Marketing, or a related management field
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive sales experience
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of sales principles, customer relationship management, and market dynamics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
