Job Overview

The Senior Vice President of Sales Operations oversees and optimizes the company’s sales operations, ensuring a high degree of alignment between sales strategy and business objectives. They typically work in large or rapidly growing companies, reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) or Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute the company’s sales strategy and operational plans to support revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Participate in setting annual sales targets and budget planning, ensuring alignment with the overall company strategy.

Sales Operations Management

  • Optimize sales processes and workflows to improve sales team efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain sales analytics and reporting systems to provide data support to management.
  • Drive the implementation of sales tools and technology platforms, such as CRM and sales automation tools.

Team Management and Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, and manage members of the sales operations team, including sales analytics, business support, and project management.
  • Guide cross-functional teams (such as marketing, product, and finance) to collaborate and ensure efficient execution of sales activities.

Performance Management and Analytics

  • Tracking sales performance metrics, analyzing trends and issues, and proposing improvement measures. Provide decision support to senior management to ensure sales activities achieve maximum ROI.

Process Optimization and Compliance

  • Ensure sales processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and laws and regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or business operations, with at least 5 years of senior management experience.
  • Familiar with cross-regional, multi-channel sales models.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong strategic planning, data analysis, and project management skills.
  • Excellent cross-departmental communication and leadership.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and sales data analysis tools.

Career Development Path

Senior Vice President of Sales Operations → Chief Sales Officer (CSO) or Chief Operating Officer (COO). Further development opportunities include Group Business Development Head or Global Sales Director. Compensation and Benefits
