The Role

The Senior Director, Growth Consulting will lead the growth practice, focusing on defining, launching, and managing the development of this practice. Braze is a customer engagement SAAS technology that is continuously evolving to fit the requirements of multiple industries. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and engage with executive stakeholders from the most exciting, high-growth enterprise businesses globally. This role requires a passion for building and communicating creative and transformative growth strategies that ensure business impact. The Strategy Consulting Team supports multiple functions across the organization and are split up into three practices: Business Value, Creative Strategy and Growth Consulting. This individual will have the opportunity to drive growth frameworks + propositions globally and will take both a market and industry driven approach to building out our growth consulting practice.

As a Senior Director of Growth Strategy, there are three core areas of Leadership:

Thought Leadership

  • Perform data analysis and translate into concrete insights and recommendations
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of customer, first party and 3rd party data opportunities
  • Develop and articulate a clear point of view on growth and the evolution of lifecycle marketing on behalf of Braze for various industries and customer themes
  • Ability to distill thinking on Growth and Industries into a clear point of view and simple presentation for clients

Team Leadership

  • Lead the EMEA Strategic Consulting team in defining strategies and shaping initiatives for our teams to unlock value and accelerate their growth
  • Partner with the team of consultants to develop hypotheses and ensure high quality output in client presentations
  • Lead, manage and track the team’s quarterly goal setting process
  • Build cross functional relationships, partnering with Sales and Customer Success to unlock value for existing and new customers
  • Represent the Strategic Consulting Department in EMEA and across the organisation at conferences and client functions
  • Break down internal silos to connect the dots between teams with relevant opportunities

Customer Leadership

  • Get involved with a wide range of projects across multiple industries, helping our customers address some of their most pressing and complex strategic challenges,including customer reviews and sales pitches.
  • Consult directly with customers on their growth objectives (digital channels, stack architecture, flywheel optimisation, change management)
  • Advise on establishing a culture of innovation, testing and experimentation while reducing friction points across customer businesses.

Growth Expertise And Experience

  • Proven track record with digital marketing and growth marketing at a client or leading a client business at an agency
  • An understanding of the customer engagement SAAS ecosystem as well as customer engagement, CRM, lifecycle and growth strategies
  • Customer first mindset that recognises the fundamental importance of customer behaviour
  • Proven ability to support assessment of portfolio strategies to identify growth opportunities across markets, customers, products.
  • Able to contribute to architecting of new customer propositions or business models that unlock identified growth opportunities
  • Can bring to bear quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to rigorously interrogate data sets and in turn, generate robust and impactful strategic insights
  • Knowledge of how to apply innovation tools and techniques such as design thinking to creatively shape solutions that can enable growth strategies
  • Capable of working on multiple, overlapping tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident and natural communicator able to succinctly and simply convey concepts in both written and verbal form
  • Interested in long-term strategic thinking and the implementation of business improvement recommendations that impact top line revenue growth and drive margin expansion
  • A proven track record of successfully managing teams to meet aggressive growth targets

Set Yourself Apart

  • Experience with Braze is a plus but not essential
  • Knowledge of corporate strategy, big bets like digital commerce, subscription models, direct to consumer, or loyalty propositions with an eye on the audacious “now/future”, including Metaverse, web3, circular economies, blockchain, etc.
  • Specific, demonstrable, hands-on experience with both cloud and non-cloud products and services in a leadership capacity
  • Proven history of working on strategic projects at a Client CRM/Customer Engagement team or Top Agency
  • Expertise in design thinking with case studies
  • Exemplary leadership and mentorship qualities
  • Ability to define a strategy, simplify and story-tell in written and verbal form
