Location:
This position is based in our Mesquite, TX office and requires daily office attendance. Hours are variable, this team often interacts with employees around the globe which can extend into evening hours. This is a full time, salaried position.
Position Summary:
The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for the management of the business relationship with existing clients and prospects and supporting all steps of the sales and distribution cycle such as quoting, purchase order confirmation, product allocation, invoicing, products distribution and claim management of sales team for the US Division.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the full order lifecycle—from quote creation and contract review to delivery and invoicing—using CSI CRM and ERP tools, ensuring a high level of accuracy and compliance with internal processes.
- Support Regional Sales Managers by maintaining strong client communication, especially when they are unavailable, and by aligning on account strategies (pricing, terms, product availability).
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing RFPs, contracts, and escalations professionally.
- Review weekly demand and sales forecasting in collaboration with the Sales and Planning teams; consolidate and present key insights to executives to support decision-making, resource planning, and revenue tracking.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Planning, Logistics, Fulfillment, Legal, Accounting, and Credit teams to ensure timely allocation, shipment, and financial resolution of orders.
- Monitor order progress and proactively provide clients with detailed delivery schedules, product information, and fulfillment status.
- Assist with client onboarding by qualifying prospects, managing account setup, and supporting credit line approvals in collaboration with the Finance team.
- Maintain and update internal reports and dashboards used by leadership and cross-functional teams for forecasting, tracking KPIs, and business decision-making.
- Support initiatives including lead tracking and internal process improvement projects.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders to identify upsell opportunities and support strategic account development.
- Address and resolve escalated client issues with a focus on long-term relationship management and service excellence.
- Provide after-hours support when needed to assist with time-sensitive orders or deal closures.
- Perform other tasks and cross-departmental support activities as assigned to ensure smooth execution of business goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales operations, sales, account management, or other business-related field, with a proven ability to support cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field required.
- Experience in the solar industry and/or startup environment is a plus but not required.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to shifting deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in CRM and ERP platforms such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as needed to support regional teams, client meetings, or company events.
- Experience in using data and statistical analysis for root cause identification, performance tracking, and process optimization.
- Skilled in preparing and delivering professional presentations and executive-level reports.
- Willingness to be available after standard business hours on occasion to support urgent order processing or assist in closing time-sensitive deals.
Compensation and Benefits:
Canadian Solar offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement. Our generous benefits package includes a 401(k) Retirement Plan, medical/dental/life/disability program, PTO and sick days. This is a full-time position.
The pay range for this position is $80,000 – $90,000. This range represents annual base salary only, without regard to location, and does not include bonuses or incentives that pay quarterly or benefits that may apply. The pay range for this role is subject to change.
