Growth Marketing Specialist – London or Madrid

Remote Full TimeMadrid, Spain (Remote)CARTO

From smartphones to connected cars, location data is changing the way we live and the way business happens. CARTO is the platform that turns location data into more efficient delivery routes, better behavioral marketing, strategic store placements, and much more.

Everyone, from business analysts to developers and data scientists, use our software and location data to understand where and why things happen, optimize business processes, and predict future outcomes. Trusted by NHL, Bain, Coca-Cola, Deliveroo and JLL and many more enterprise organizations, CARTO is leading in the Location Intelligence (LI) space, providing cloud native GIS solutions in tandem with Google Cloud, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks and Microsoft Azure.

To continue our journey, we are looking for an analytical, commercially-minded growth marketer to drive pipeline as part of our demand generation team.

Responsibilities:

  • SEO: You will be responsible for CARTO’s SEO strategy, ensuring we don’t just make recommendations on where to improve across our website and content strategy, but you also implement them yourself (using Webflow, our CMS). You will invest the time required to understand our product and category, ensuring that we balance what makes commercial sense for CARTO, as well as SEO best practice – focusing on the most important business metrics, not vanity metrics. You understand that each decision in this area has pros and cons – but you are able to find answers based on our overarching strategy as a business.
  • CRO:You will work between demand generation and product marketing to seek ways to improve conversion across our website – implementing improvements in Webflow, working alongside our design team (but often creating assets yourself in Canva to ensure faster implementation).
  • Email marketing: You will own marketing nurture programs, finding ways to refresh content, generate new nurture workflows and measure their effectiveness. You will also spend a significant amount of time with different teams to understand our ICP and product in enough depth to be able to create high quality email marketing campaigns – regularly providing ideas on how we can optimize our messaging and segmentation.
  • Analytics: You spend a significant amount of time analyzing the different initiatives we’re working on in marketing to ensure we prioritize pipeline-generating activities, using tools such as Google Analytics, Hubspot and Salesforce. You are also able to look beyond the numbers, and you’re passionate about data quality.

You are:

  • You have bias for action: you get a buzz out of crossing things off your to-do list, you have the “get it done” attitude.
  • Detail-oriented:you know that great marketing is all about the details and precision in delivery.
  • Numbers-driven: you constantly bring data to the table, creating reports, querying data and extracting insights that can help us perform better.
  • Ruthlessly organized:you know how to create and follow processes to ensure we meet deadlines and are prepared to make the most out of the events we attend.
  • An ideas person: you constantly think of new ideas to raise brand awareness and ensure we maximize our demand gen efforts.
  • Commercial acumen:you care about what moves the needle for opportunity creation, rather than focusing on vanity metrics.
  • An exceptional communicator:both internally between departments and externally with clients and partners. You don’t just hang out with the marketers, you make the effort to spend a significant amount of time with sellers, pre-sales, data science and product to gain insights that are relevant to your work.
  • Customer-centric: obsessed by the needs of our clients and prospects, constantly learning about how their challenges are evolving.
  • A true challenger: you’re not scared to challenge the status quo and guide our marketing strategy, working closely with senior leadership.

You offer:

  • 2+ years experience working in growth marketing in B2B.
  • Experience working with teams in multiple locations and cultures.
  • Experience working with marketing technology (e.g. Webflow, Hubspot, Salesforce, Google Analytics).
  • An eye for design and brand guardianship.

We offer:

  • Competitive compensation.
  • Flexible work hours in a focused but casual environment
  • Stock options
  • Education Stipend up to 500€ per year and 20 hours PTO
  • Remote Work Stipend
  • Health insurance with Mapfre
  • 22 vacation days plus and 2 more days at the EoY
  • Flexible compensation with Cobee
  • English language classes
