Causely helps prevent downtime, cut incident costs, and increase developer productivity for engineering teams who develop and operate modern applications. Our product is being used by large engineering teams across SaaS, HealthTech, FinTech and other verticals. Causely was founded in 2022 and began selling a commercial product in 2024. We are looking to hire our first full-time marketing leader based on recent momentum with early customers. This is your opportunity to help build our marketing foundation and make a major impact as we seek to create an iconic company.
The Role
Our marketing team currently consists of part-time contractors. We are looking to hire a hands-on marketing leader who will make it their full-time priority to raise awareness with our target customers and generate conversions (e.g. SaaS lead-try-buy motion). This role is ideal for someone who loves learning new things, thrives in ambiguity, can move fast to get things done, and understands that strategy is worthless without fast execution and iteration.
In this role, you will drive the creation of engaging content, build and maintain the website, engrain yourself with our audience, and collaborate closely with our product and sales teams. This is a chance to shape Causely’s marketing foundation and help drive our growth in the short term and for the long term.
What You’ll Do
- Marketing Leadership: Define and execute marketing activities with a lean team to yield growth in leads, product signups, and paid conversions.
- Product Advocacy: Build engaging media (e.g. blog posts, eBooks, webinars, etc.) that connects with tech leaders and software engineers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our founders and employees to ensure our messaging differentiates our company in a highly competitive market.
- Growth Marketing: Execute and iterate on campaigns to attract, engage, and retain our target audience of engineers and engineering leaders.
- Website Management: Maintain and update our website to ensure it effectively tells Causely’s story and drives conversions. Familiarity with NextJS, Vercel, Cursor and GitHub CoPilot are essential.
Who You Are
- Growth Mindset: You’re always wondering how things work, aren’t afraid to dig deep into technical topics, and are insatiably curious about the technical audience we are trying to serve.
- Founder Mindset: You’re a Jill/Jack of-all-trades with an instinct to lead and who thrives in an environment that promotes fast action over bureaucracy.
- Hustler: You have a strong work ethic and aren’t afraid to put in the effort to make things happen even if you aren’t sure how to get something done at first.
- Builder: Maybe you’re not a software engineer, but armed with the right tools (e.g., Cursor or GitHub CoPilot), you aren’t afraid to build cool experiences online.
- Great Communicator: You can explain complex ideas simply and effectively, making technical content approachable and engaging.
Qualifications
- Meaningful career experience driving results in a marketing role with an early-stage B2B tech company.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating and activating content (e.g. blogs, eBooks, webinars, product datasheets, etc.).
- Familiarity with using tools like NextJS, Git, Vercel, Strapi, HubSpot, LinkedIn, etc. to maintain the website and drive marketing programs.
- Experience with developer-focused products or B2B SaaS is a big plus.
- Basic technical skills (e.g., HTML, CSS, NextJS, or a willingness to learn) are highly desirable.
