Role Overview
As an experienced Data Analyst with a solid background in physics, you will join the team responsible for the LHC Longitudinal Density Monitor (commonly known as the BSRL: Beam Synchrotron Radiation Longitudinal monitor) within the Beam Instrumentation Group. You will lead the work on the online and offline data processing pipelines, which are fully implemented in Python.
What You Will Do
Lead the redesign and optimisation of the current online and offline Python data analysis software for the BSRL instrument to ensure scalability, performance and reproducibility. Develop specialised offline analysis routines using BSRL data, cross-correlating with other beam instrumentation where necessary, to meet the requirements of stakeholders.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Proven background in the advanced analysis of complex experimental data, preferably from physics or large-scale scientific installations. Extensive experience in software development with a strong emphasis on clean, maintainable code.

- Basic experience in Monte Carlo-based physics simulation techniques
