Sales Development Manager (US Market)

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) team is a critical part of CleverTap’s Go-To-Market (GTM) team, delivering immense impact at the Top and Middle of Funnel. The Sales Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy, working closely with the Sales team to generate qualified leads and opportunities for the North America team. You will manage and mentor a team of SDRs, collaborating closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to achieve aggressive growth targets.

What will you do:

  1. Strategy Development:

  • Implement the overall sales development strategy to achieve lead generation and pipeline goals.
  • Identify target markets, industries, and segments to prioritize outreach efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to align messaging, campaigns, and content for maximum impact.
  1. Team Leadership:

  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development to ensure the team’s success.
  • Set clear performance expectations, goals, and KPIs for the team and track progress regularly.
  1. Process Optimization:

  • Optimize lead generation and qualification processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain data hygiene and reporting
  1. Collaboration:

  • Foster strong collaboration between the sales development team and the sales team to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified opportunities.
  • Partner with marketing to refine target personas, messaging, and outreach strategies based on market feedback.
  1. Metrics and Reporting:

  • Analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the sales development efforts.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, trends, and areas for improvement to leadership.
  1. Market Insights:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to provide input into product and service development.
  • Translate market insights into actionable strategies to enhance lead generation and engagement.
  1. Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure alignment between sales development and overall revenue strategies.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a bonus.
  • 8+ years of experience in sales development, preferably in the SaaS industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in people management and team leadership.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding lead generation and pipeline targets.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models and MarTech customers’ pain points.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and drive results.

Shift Timings:

18:00 – 3:00 Hrs IST / 20:00 – 5:00 Hrs IST

5 days working

Measure of Success:

  • Sales ready meetings (SQLs)
  • Sales qualified opportunities (SALs, Regional)
  • Conversion rates (SAL to Deal)
