Automation & Data Engineer

Continental is seeking an Automation & Data Engineer to join their Digital Services Department. The role combines expertise in industrial automation, data engineering, and digital manufacturing, contributing to the stability and evolution of the factory’s automation and data infrastructure.

Requirements

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with industrial automation systems and PLC environments.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, OPC, MQTT, or similar.
• Experience or understanding of ETL processes, data pipeline development, and orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and data architecture design.
• Knowledge of industrial monitoring platforms or SCADA environments.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles in industrial systems.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, and IT teams.
• Fluent or Native in Portuguese (mandatory).
• Strong English skills, written and spoken (minimum B2).
