Continental is seeking a (Senior) Data Engineer to build and optimize data platforms and pipelines that power AI-driven solutions for global fleet customers. As a key member of the Digital Solutions team, the successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructures, ensuring seamless integration of IoT and telematics data from connected tires and vehicles.

Requirements

  • Academic degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • Multiple years of working experience as Data Engineer
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
  • Expertise in data pipelining (e.g., Airflow)
  • Hands-on experience with big data and distributed processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Kafka, DBT)
  • Proficiency in Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and databases (relational, NoSQL, time-series)
  • Familiarity with data versioning and lineage tracking
  • Experience with Agile project management methods (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Reliable team player with structured self-organized workstyle
  • Experience working in an international team (desirable)
  • Proficient English language skills (spoken / written)
