Healthcare Data Engineer

Healthcare Data Engineer responsible for ETL development and data engineering for healthcare datasets, ensuring data quality and scalability.

Requirements

• Design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines in Databricks for healthcare data sources.
• Process and transform complex healthcare data types, including: 837s, 835s, MMRs, historical membership, pharmacy, provider contractor data.
• Implement ETL workflows to move data from raw sources to curated layers for analytics.
• Optimize pipeline performance and ensure compliance with healthcare data standards.
• Collaborate with data analysts and IT DevOps for ingestion pipeline development, and with business teams to explain process and cost implications.
• Make recommendations for improving Databricks utilization, cost management, and organization for the analytics team.
• Document processes and maintain best practices for data governance and security.
