The Data Analyst position is a limited-term fixed-term post in the Creative Economy Data Program at WIPO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The incumbent will contribute to the development and implementation of the Creative Economy Data Model (CEDM) across Member States, providing conceptual inputs, data analysis, designing and monitoring projects, developing content and delivering capacity-building activities.
Requirements
- First-level university degree in economics, creative industries or a related field
- At least six years of professional experience in research projects related to creative industries at the international level
- Experience in developing and implementing indicators for measuring various aspects of the creative economy
- Experience in assessing the impact of intellectual property on development
- Strong empirical research and data analysis skills with the ability to apply both quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze the creative economy
- Capacity to critically engage with creative economy issues across different regional and cultural contexts
- Deep knowledge of creative economy concepts, frameworks and research literature
- Familiarity with cultural and creative statistics frameworks at both policy and research levels and demonstrated experience with national and international statistical procedures and instruments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical content clearly to a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, including the ability to work effectively in multicultural environments including cultural sensitivity and adaptability when working with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
