As the Vice President – Revenue at Data Literacy Academy, you will be a key leader responsible for driving the company’s revenue growth and overall financial success. Your primary objective will be to develop and execute strategies that maximize revenue across all revenue streams, including sales, marketing, and customer success. With your strong leadership skills and deep understanding of revenue generation, you will play a crucial role in scaling our Edtech business and achieving our ambitious growth targets. This position reports to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and lead the implementation of comprehensive revenue strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities and inform revenue strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective execution of revenue initiatives.
  • Set ambitious revenue targets and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and drive accountability.

Sales Leadership and Performance:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the sales team, setting clear goals and expectations for revenue generation.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, and best practices to optimize sales performance and drive revenue growth.
  • Mentor and coach the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and maintain strong customer relationships, identify key accounts, and support deal negotiations when needed.

Marketing and Demand Generation:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies that generate qualified leads and support revenue growth.
  • Oversee the development of marketing campaigns, messaging, and positioning to effectively communicate the value proposition and drive customer engagement.
  • Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, optimize lead generation, and improve conversion rates.
  • Foster collaboration between sales and marketing teams to ensure seamless alignment and effective lead handoff.

Customer Success and Retention:

  • Collaborate with the customer success team to develop strategies and initiatives that drive customer satisfaction, retention, and expansion.
  • Analyse customer data and feedback to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and maximizing customer lifetime value.
  • Support the customer success team in developing and executing account management strategies to ensure long-term customer success and revenue growth.
  • Continuously improve processes and initiatives to enhance customer experience and increase customer advocacy.

Analytics, Reporting, and Forecasting:

  • Establish robust analytics and reporting processes to track, measure, and analyse revenue performance against targets and KPIs.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to the executive team and stakeholders on revenue trends, forecasts, and areas for improvement.
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for revenue optimization and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.
  • Other Tasks as Required

Requirements:

  • Experience in revenue leadership roles, such as Vice President – Revenue, Chief Revenue Officer preferred
  • Role could suit high-performing Enterprise AE, who has worked in a well structured revenue org.
  • Willingness to personally close business for at least 12 months.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards revenue goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing strategies, best practices, and emerging trends in revenue generation.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven and results-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and achieve ambitious targets in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy
