The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the website and ensuring content is relevant and up to date on all FortWorth.com pages and the Visit Fort Worth blog. This position also supports Visit Fort Worth social media initiatives and other content as needed. The Digital Marketing Manager will work closely with the marketing team and outside agencies to make sure web content is optimized and content is created for all the Visit Fort Worth audiences including but not limited to consumer travelers, meeting planners, sports clients and filmmakers. This position is also responsible for reporting on website analytics and overseeing website SEO and keyword search with an outside agency.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate should have experience in copywriting/editing, website and content management and web strategy and analytics. Knowledge of the tourism and travel industries is a plus.
75% Digital Management
- Owner for FortWorth.com; administer the website, acting as the main contact with our developer/technology partners and leading the department’s activities related to the website.
- Manage FortWorth.com CMS and serve as department liaison for the organization’s CRM team
- Responsible for FortWorth.com web page creation/updates and oversee listings maintenance.
- Proactively manage content on pages including video, copy and events should be updated in a timely basis to make sure all pages are accurate and up to date.
- Manage implementation of key word and rich content strategies in concert with SEO and PPC strategies
- Report on SEO and PPC on a monthly basis to VP of Marketing and Marketing Coordinator to ensure strategy is in sync with advertising strategy.
- Measure and report on website growth and performance through Google Analytics
- Create new pages on FortWorth.com as requested
- Evaluate which pages are performing best and showcase, replace and update as needed.
- Create microsites for special projects
- Sunset old/outdated pages on a regular basis
- Manage and create dynamic content on the homepage on a regular basis
- Update and manage all web listings
- Manage and approve all events on FortWorth.com/Events
- Manage Mail Chimp; setting up e-news, newsletters and more as directed.
- Report on open rate and e-marketing analytics.
25% Content Development
- Evaluate blogs on a regular and suggest new content based on performance.
- Post blogs as completed and approved by Sr. Manager of Public Relations and Content
- Support social media special projects by drafting content as assigned

Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Communications, Marketing, Web Marketing, Content Strategy, Advertising and Content Production coursework.
Experience: Minimum of three years experience in content strategy, communications or social media.
Special Skills: Skilled at website management (CMS and CRM), video production and editing, content strategy and development, English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Thorough understanding of managing e-marketing campaigns is essential. Ability to develop and write effectively and communicate concisely – both verbally and in writing – is required
