We seek an experienced Vice President of International Sales to oversee and manage our sales teams in the EMEA and APAC regions. This will include our sales teams of BDRs, Mid Market Account Executives, Enterprise Account Executives, and Growth and Retention Account Managers. This role will report directly to the Senior Vice President of World-Wide Sales.

The VP of  International Sales will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales goals, monitoring sales metrics, and managing the international sales administration process. To be successful, they will need to collaborate cross functionally, so they must have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a team environment.


  • Manage, coach, and mentor sales leaders
  • Set and track sales targets for your team
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process
  • Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines
  • Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products
  • Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement
  • Ensure sales, finance, and legal policies and procedures are followed
  • Build an open-communication environment for your team
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency


  • 8 years of managing high-performance sales teams in a similar role
  • Proven track record successfully managing sales teams to excel
  • Experience working with a technical product or the aptitude to quickly learn complex technical concepts
  • Experience with Open Source Software business models is preferred but not required
  • Experience with all aspects of B2B technology sales aspects, including pre-call planning, opportunity qualification, objection handling, and closing opportunities
  • Hands-on experience with CRM software and MS Excel
  • In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude
  • BSc degree in Sales, Business Administration or a relevant field

What to expect in the first 30 days:

  • Get to know and assess the talent of your team
  • Become familiar with Docker’s goals and success metrics
  • Attend at least 10 customer meetings to become familiar with customer’s needs

What to expect in the first 90 days:

  • Set OKRs and plans for your team as appropriate
  • Become adept at the Docker sales proposition along with our qualification methodology: MEDDPICC and Command of Message Value Framework
  • Create 12 month tactical and strategic plan

  • Achieve sales targets
  • Ensure that appropriate resources are allocated to the proper segments and accounts
  • Create strong relationships and alignment with our distribution and reselling channel partners
