Eaton’s North American Sales division is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead a sales team and manage a customer base to achieve district results. The role will be based at the City of Industry, CA office and requires leadership, development, and sales strategy development.
Requirements
- Manage the assigned customer base to increase sales in the local marketplace
- Provide application guidance and technical assistance to assigned customers
- Develop and implement sales strategies to stress value-added upgrades and achieve maximum profit margin
- Promote and develop close working relationships with client representatives
- Manage and negotiate sales, and reach agreement on associated controversial issues
- Coordinate and make presentations to influence customers of the economic, technical and operational benefits and features of Eaton’s products and solutions
- Provide or arrange for technical assistance to resolve customer problems and enhance relations
- Participate in the preparation and presentation of bids and quotations to customers
- Support total quality efforts by providing timely and accurate information for order entry
- Implement new product programs as needed
- Collect, analyze, and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences, and buying habits
- Provide necessary reports requested by management in a timely manner
