Data Operations Analyst – Data Platform / GCP Big Query

Data Operations Analyst role in Sydney, responsible for ensuring the successful transition of the Data Platform into the BAU Data Operations Team, working closely with various teams to facilitate the service transition and ensure alignment with Enterprise standards, processes, and tools.

Requirements

• Experience supporting data warehouse/data product/ml products
• Technology operations management experience, working in complex environments
• Understanding of ITIL
• Experience with ITSM tools and processes
• Experience with Cloud Data Platforms and warehouses
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of ETL processes
• Strong understanding of data pipelines and workflows
• Knowledge of data governance and security principles
• Experience using Agile tools like Atlassian JIRA, Confluence
• Retail industry experience
• Experience with ServiceNow
• Understanding of Machine Learning workflow, streaming pipeline is a plus
• Familiarity with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus
• Strong Google Cloud Platform skills in BigQuery, IAM, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud, Function, Cloud Composer
• Experience with DBT
• Development experience in Python
• Understanding of different BI platforms such as Tableau, Google Looker reports
• Understanding of Azure Databricks is a plus
