Senior Data Scientist (SAS programming)

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with strong statistical analysis and experience in machine learning and mathematical modeling to support manufacturing analytics and digital business transformation projects.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in a data science or analytics role, preferably in a manufacturing setting
• Solid knowledge of statistical modeling, data analysis techniques (ANOVA, hypothesis testing) and machine learning models
• Advanced programming skills and the ability to write customized programs for meaningful data analysis (SAS, SQL, and Python)
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with querying data in cloud data platforms such as GCP, Snowflake, or Databricks
• Ability to process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis
• Familiarity with prescriptive analytics (operational research) and mathematical optimization techniques
• Familiarity with cloud computing environments and experience with deploying models in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak the language of both IT (technical) and business (functional) teams to ensure alignment and clarity
