System Engineer- Enterprise Data Engineer

Partner with customers to design and implement enterprise database solutions, configure back-end geospatial database management capabilities, and provide technical guidance on database design, migration, and integration projects. Work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver capabilities that enable customers to make a difference in communities around the world.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA
  • Demonstrated experience with database design principles, data loading techniques, backup and recovery solutions, performance monitoring and tuning, database maintenance, and security
  • Scripting skills in SQL and Python for automation and data workflows
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions (such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database)
  • Understanding of geospatial concepts such as spatial data types, coordinate systems, and spatial indexing
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to technical peers and non-technical project managers or customers
  • US citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field
