The Opportunity

Everyday Health P&P is looking for a Manager of Revenue Analytics to report to the CRO and work closely with the Revenue Operations and FP&A teams in their efforts to make decisions and implement improvements to drive sales results.  You will provide a control regarding sales contracts and delivery, and translate that into revenue forecasts.  You will also identify and champion new analytic opportunities and approaches to support sustainable market growth and sales, i.e. what’s the data telling you about the health of our business and what should we do about it.

The ideal candidate needs to be sales compatible and combine good sound judgment, robust organizational skills, and a good financial acumen.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create meaning behind the data; gather, sort, analyze and present findings in an organized and effectively communicated manner to influence business decisions and grow revenue for the company
  • Provide weekly reporting and analysis of sales pipeline and develop additional ad hoc reports to answer questions from Senior Leadership
  • Serve as business partner to Revenue Operations, Sales, AdOps, and Finance to ensure smooth execution of sales deliverables and identify potential risks
  • Calculate and communicate quarterly commission payouts for sales organization
  • Function as Control regarding sales contracts and IOs ensuring that we are delivering, accruing and recognizing revenue based on contractual agreements
  • Assist with monthly billing & reconciliation of bookings / accruals against forecasted projections
  • Serve as a passionate analytics team advocate and sales organization partner to help advance solutions that drive client loyalty, conversion, and retention
  • Work closely with the CRO to ensure forecasts are accurate
  • Provide guidance on strategic, tactical and technical initiatives involving SFDC
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve sales processes through Salesforce optimization
  • Design and deliver Salesforce training for the Sales and Revenue Operations teams
  • Partner with Revenue Analytics to develop Salesforce reports and dashboards for sales KPIs and decision support
  • Increase data reliability and metrics utilization for sales and pre-sales process

The Day-to-Day

  • Gather and sort data from a number of different sources/platforms and demonstrate the propensity to translate these findings into organized reporting dashboards and meaningful insights.
  • Understand and effectively measure the KPI’s of several revenue streams including Display, Email, Branded Content, Bounty, Commerce, and Programmatic.
  • Maintain (or build) several sophisticated reporting dashboards to easily relay key findings on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to inform key stakeholders.
  • Provide weekly updates to internal clients to maintain relationships and monitor performance against goals and budgets
  • Ability to collaborate interdepartmentally with Sales, Audit, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to effectively report revenue for month end close and adhere to contractual agreements.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, including proven experience with Pivot Tables, Filter Options, VLOOKUP and If Then Statements at minimum.
  • Dashboard creation and automation via Advanced Pivot, Report Builder, MySQL Tables, Python Scripts, or similar platforms or languages. Tableau or other data visualization tools a big plus.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Operations Research or other Quantitative field required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an analytical role with a focus on leveraging data
  • Familiarity with digital media
  • Salesforce proficiency required
  • Must be comfortable “living in” Microsoft Excel
