Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Security and Distributed Cloud

You should be able to demonstrate your ability to work cross-functionally helping drive clarity and alignment across the organization to support product launches and new feature releases. Bonus points if you’re a master at visual storytelling and ideation in creating customer-facing presentations. You must be an effective communicator, possess the aptitude to learn new things, and bring some domain expertise in the cloud and security space.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Grow market insight, obtain industry knowledge, and analyze data for technical and executive consumption to successfully position + message F5’s SDC solutions favorably and showcase our key differentiators
  • Build and use market intelligence by understanding the new and emerging personas, their buying criteria, and how they purchase
  • Research and know your competition, and efficiently communicate how to optimally position SDC products
  • Create product positioning and messaging that differentiates SDC products in the market
  • Develop and implement go-to-market plans in coordination with a cross-functional team including corporate marketing, sales/channel readiness, and BD teams
  • Enable sales and channel teams by communicating the value proposition of SDC products and developing the sales tools we use in selling motions
  • Drive releases by developing launch plans for new products and services and handling the cross-functional implementation
  • Produce product collateral such as sales, customer, and analyst presentations, product datasheets, FAQs, sales playbooks, and webpages
  • Contribute to demand generation efforts by delivering product content and participating in activities for the marketing programs that drive demand for SDC products
  • Engage sales, channel, and customers via webcasts, direct meetings, marketing communications, and industry events to drive interest, and lead generation
  • Educate and support engagements with industry press and trade analysts

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience working in a global product marketing or equivalent product-facing role (5 years minimum)
  • Great teamwork and interpersonal skills, working across global teams and organizations in a hybrid virtual environment
  • Solid understanding of enterprise product marketing, corporate marketing and selling motions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Visual storytelling and ideation skills in creating compelling customer presentations
  • Develop and deliver sales enablement content
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and execution skills
  • Solid understanding of the enterprise/cloud networking market
  • Strong aptitude for determining optimal ways to analyze markets and position technology products
  • May require the ability to travel up to 20%

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or Engineering or equivalent experience required. MBA preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a product marketing role

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $130,677.00 – $196,015.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
