Account Strategists at Geekly Media are responsible for crafting strategic marketing and operations solutions that guide our clients to success. You’re a good fit for this role if you’re excited about creating plans that combine marketing strategy with tactical HubSpot operations, driving client progress, and working cross-functionally with a team of marketing, content, and technical pros.
Account Strategists are senior team members with a player/coach role on the accounts team. Your KPIs:
- Client Satisfaction (NPS, Reviews, References, Retention)
- Client Results (Goal Attainment)
- Client budget management + Profitability
- Strategy delivery
The Day to Day:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand prospective client goals and performance and make strategic recommendations for both go-forward marketing plans and customized HubSpot implementations
- Onboard new clients, working with them to collaboratively help them articulate and document their goals, define KPIs, and create strategic marketing plans and project milestones.
- Work closely with account managers to guide their projects after onboarding handoff and in ongoing reporting, analysis, and strategic alignment.
- Act as a main point of contact for your own core accounts, owning the client relationship, managing budget, ensuring timely deliverables, etc.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve independently and with the team when things don’t go according to plan.
- Collaborate with internal teams to keep strategic & technical projects aligned
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Implementation
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to define marketing objectives based on company goals, then developing detailed tactics to achieve them.
- Lead the development and execution of digital-first strategies to support marketing campaigns, lead generation, and customer retention across multiple channels, including email, web, social media, video, and PPC campaigns.
- Develop lifecycle messaging and segmentation strategies to enhance communication with target audiences.
Campaign Management
- Oversee the creation and implementation of omnichannel campaigns with a digital flair.
- Coordinate the production of marketing content, including social calendars, blogs, premium content, web pages, and more, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal and agency teams, including marketing, sales, product, creative, and development, to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategies.
- Strategize and support website builds, content creation, UX design, and product implementations.
Performance Reporting and Optimization
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing insights into key metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
- Conduct quarterly reviews to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with overall business goals and suggest strategic shifts as needed.
- Leverage data and testing (A/B tests) to continuously optimize campaigns and improve results.
Data Analysis and SEO
- Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies to enhance organic search performance.
- Track, analyze, and report on key marketing performance indicators, using insights to inform strategy adjustments and improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in conceptualizing and executing marketing campaigns that drive business growth.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing strategy and execution, preferably within an in-house marketing team.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience with HubSpot (Marketing, Sales, and CMS Hubs preferred).
- Direct experience with SaaS marketing tactics
- Proficiency in marketing functions such as SEO, CRO, Marketing Automation, Email Marketing, and Paid/Social Media.
- Experience managing content creation, from blogs to graphics and video, ensuring high quality and alignment with marketing goals.
- Expertise in data analysis, A/B testing, and optimizing marketing strategies through performance insights.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across departments and present marketing performance reports.
- Adaptable to changing industry trends, with the ability to anticipate challenges and pivot strategies as needed.
- Self-motivated and driven to contribute to both personal and professional growth within the organization.
Salary: $75,000 – $105,000 per year.
