Job Overview

The Associate Director of Admissions and Marketing manages all activities related to the recruitment and marketing of the Master of Science in Environment and International Affairs (MS-EIA) program; and supports all aspects of recruiting outreach, including creating the marketing strategy and recruitment plan, and managing and executing the lead and applicant journey.

They create and implement all procedures for recruitment outreach and follow-up with prospects; and ensure that all marketing content materials (both printed and online) are up to date and factually represent MS-EIA program goals – as well as the communication and recruiting events strategy for the program, and travel to represent SFS at recruiting fairs, both domestically and internationally.

The Associate Director coordinates with SFS Admissions partners and with the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS) to ensure that all prospects who submit an application are efficiently passed on to the MS-EIA Program Coordinator. They become and remain knowledgeable about the MS-EIA and all SFS offerings to best guide prospects during their exploratory journey.

Work Interactions

Reporting to the MS-EIA Program Director, the Associate Director works with the staff at Earth Commons Institute to ensure efficient flow of recruitment and admissions information and participation in recruitment related events.

They also coordinate with the SFS Director of Graduate Admissions and Enrollment Management and various other Georgetown University offices, such as OSFS and the GSAS merit aid team; and interact on an ongoing basis with prospective and enrolling students by providing information in a professional and persuasive manner.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education, counseling or other relevant field – preference for a Master’s degree
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in recruitment/admissions, marketing, communications, and/or business development

Preferred qualifications

  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to client service
  • Experience planning and managing a wide range of events and activities
  • Experience in higher education admissions
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and/or CRM tools
  • Comfortable working directly with executives at all levels and a desire to engage with international cultures

Salary Range

The expected pay range for this position is $44,022 to $73,407 per year.

Georgetown University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity and external market pay for comparable jobs.
