ROLE PROFILE – Sales Operations Coordinator

Do Work That Helps People Unplug and Reconnect

At Gibbs Fishing, we believe the outdoors offers more than just escape—it offers clarity, connection, and balance. For over a century, we’ve created trusted products that support getting outside, slowing down, and recharging. Today, we’re evolving with a renewed purpose: to help people unplug from the noise and reconnect with what matters—nature, community, and themselves.

We’re a growing, entrepreneurial team that values ownership, curiosity, and real collaboration. Our culture blends heritage with hustle: we move quickly, support each other, and care deeply about doing meaningful work—without losing sight of what keeps us grounded.

If you’re someone who breathes easier outside, thrives in a fast-paced but values-driven environment, and wants your work to contribute to something bigger—this might be your next great chapter.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As our Sales Operations Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of how we serve our wholesale partners—making sure they feel supported, informed, and well taken care of. Reporting to the Sales Director, you’ll be the go-to person for order processing, issue resolution, sales rep support, and sales reporting—bringing calm, clarity, and data consistency to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

This role is about more than just keeping things organized (though you’ll definitely do that). It’s about creating positive experiences for our partners, solving problems before they grow, and helping our team run smarter and stronger. You’ll work closely with sales reps across North America and collaborate daily with our operations, accounting, and marketing teams to keep everything moving.

You’ll thrive here if you’re proactive, detail-obsessed, and energized by being at the center of it all—where your communication matters, your voice is heard, and your impact is real.

THE TEAM

We have a very capable, high-functioning, self-starting team who have long tenures with the organization and have served many roles. Our culture is high accountability, a can-do attitude, and helping others. We are seeking someone who will enhance that culture and is keen to propel their professional career.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Trade Show & Meeting Coordination

  • Track and manage trade show and key sales event calendars
  • Ensure all samples, materials, and collateral are prepped and shipped on time
  • Help organize promotional details and ensure show specials are well-communicated and supported

Sales Rep Support

  • Assist Sales Director with collateral needs (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, product info)
  • Generate and share clean, accurate sales reports on a recurring and ad hoc basis
  • Create or update sales sheets and tools to support reps in the field

B2B Portal Oversight

  • Keep B2B portal content and product listings accurate and current
  • Troubleshoot any ordering issues that arise from portal use
  • Help train or onboard customers to use the portal effectively
  • Post and manage B2B sales promotions

Sales & Marketing Coordination

  • Collaborate with marketing on product launches, promotions, and sales initiatives
  • Help coordinate delivery of new product samples to customers or sales reps
  • Provide support on marketing-related needs that drive sales results

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a purpose-driven, entrepreneurial environment—someone who takes pride in building genuine relationships and delivering outstanding results. You’ll fit right in if you:

  • Have a natural service mindset, going the extra mile to support customers, reps, and teammates alike
  • Are detail-oriented and organized, with a strong ability to manage product info, orders, and communication without missing a beat
  • Bring a keen commercial instinct, spotting opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and add value for our retail partners
  • Are confident with numbers and reporting, helping the team stay informed through clean, insightful sales tracking
  • Communicate clearly and warmly, whether you’re dealing with national chains or independent outdoor shops
  • Stay curious, upbeat, and solutions-focused, even in a fast-moving environment
  • Work independently and follow through, with the discipline to manage your day and the drive to hit your goals
  • Believe in the power of nature to ground and restore, and want to be part of a team that helps others unplug and reconnect

Why You’ll Love Working Here
