People Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced People Operations Manager to join our team at GoCardless. The successful candidate will oversee our core people operations team based in Riga and Lisbon, focusing on employee lifecycle processes, data, compliance and internal mobility & immigration. The role involves owning and improving end-to-end HR processes, partnering closely with Finance, Talent Acquisition and the wider HR team to drive excellence across the People function.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior People Operations or HR Operations role, with a strong track record of owning and improving end-to-end HR processes in a global, multi-site environment.
• Operational excellence mindset, with a natural ability to find smarter ways of working and balance attention to detail with a drive for efficiency and scale.
• Strong data and systems acumen, with experience managing and optimizing HRIS platforms (ideally Hibob), and the ability to use HR data and analytics to drive decisions and ensure data integrity.
• Compliance confidence, with solid knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and experience coordinating audits and ensuring local compliance.
• Collaborative leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across People, Finance, Talent Acquisition and the wider business, and inspire the team to deliver excellent employee experiences.
• Immigration and mobility experience is a plus, particularly in a multi-hub context.
