Health Union is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join their team and help take their data capabilities to the next level. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining dbt data models, developing Looker explores and models, and contributing to data quality monitoring systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an Analytics Engineering or similar role
- Deep knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling approaches
- Advanced proficiency with dbt, particularly around testing, documentation, and model design best practices
- Strong LookML development skills, including complex joins, aggregations and performance optimization
- Advanced proficiency with SQL in a cloud data warehouse environment
- Experience with or strong instincts around data quality monitoring and observability
- Deep understanding of data warehouse and business intelligence system design principles
- Clear communicator who is comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams
- Highly motivated to work autonomously, with strong organizational and time management skills
