Mission Brief

We are seeking a dynamic and globally connected Director of Sales to lead our commercial, institutional, and defense sales operations within the aerospace industry. This role may be part of the senior leadership team and will play a key role in shaping and executing our global sales strategy. The Director of Sales will be responsible for driving sales strategies across all segments, leading pricing strategies and revenue planning, managing CRM systems and proposal management with a particular focus on establishing and closing new cooperations and regions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in aerospace and dual-use defense markets, a strong track record of closing high-value deals, and proven leadership in managing and mentoring sales teams. This is a strategic role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and is passionate about building long-term relationships.

Your Role in Our Space Mission

  • Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of sales managers and directors across the commercial, institutional, and defense sales segments.
  • Develop and implement data-driven sales strategies and operations to drive growth and achieve ambitious revenue targets.
  • Establish and manage effective pricing and revenue models to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
  • Oversee CRM and proposal management processes to deliver exceptional customer engagement and tailored offers.
  • Build and maintain strong global relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, defense ministries, institutional clients, and commercial partners.
  • Identify, pursue, and close high-value deals in aerospace and defense markets, ideally leveraging a robust network.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to drive informed strategic decisions.
  • Represent the company at major international and regional industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, and customer support teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Report regularly to the CCO on team performance, sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, and strategic initiatives.

Qualification Checklist

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related technical field.
  • 15+ years of experience in sales, business development, or revenue management within aerospace, defense, or commercial aviation sectors.
  • Proven track record in closing high-value and multi-national deals.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing sales managers and directors across multiple segments and regions.
  • Strong expertise in pricing, revenue management, CRM systems, and proposal management.
  • Deep understanding of, and established network within, the international aerospace and defense markets, including government stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, strategic decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a strong plus.
