Mission Brief

We are seeking a dynamic and globally connected Director of Sales to lead our commercial, institutional, and defense sales operations within the aerospace industry.

Your Role in Our Space Mission

  • Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of sales managers and directors across the commercial, institutional, and defense sales segments.
  • Develop and implement data-driven sales strategies and operations to drive growth and achieve ambitious revenue targets.
  • Establish and manage effective pricing and revenue models to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
  • Oversee CRM and proposal management processes to deliver exceptional customer engagement and tailored offers.
  • Build and maintain strong global relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, defense ministries, institutional clients, and commercial partners.
  • Identify, pursue, and close high-value deals in aerospace and defense markets, ideally leveraging a robust network.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to drive informed strategic decisions.
  • Represent the company at major international and regional industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing and customer support teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Report regularly to the CCO on team performance, sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, and strategic initiatives.

Qualification Checklist

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related technical field
  • 15+ years of experience in sales, business development, or revenue management within aerospace, defense, or commercial aviation sectors.
  • Proven track record in closing high-value and multi-national deals
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing sales managers and directors across multiple segments and regions.
  • Strong expertise in pricing, revenue management, CRM systems, and proposal management.
  • Deep understanding of, and established network within the international aerospace and defense markets, including government stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, strategic decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Fluency in English is required; Further languages are a strong plus.
