Market Data Analyst

Role Overview

Contribute to the quality, reliability, and scalability of financial market data used by a large global investment community. Work within a highly collaborative data organization to ensure the accuracy and integrity of equities, fundamentals, estimates, and market datasets.

Investigate complex financial data issues, improve validation processes, and partner closely with product and engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure. Analyze corporate actions and drive data-focused projects independently.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in the financial services industry with strong exposure to equities data, market data, fundamentals, estimates, or related datasets
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing quality assurance processes for financial data environments
• Strong understanding of corporate actions, including dividends, stock splits, earnings events, and their impact on financial datasets
• Experience working with leading financial data providers such as Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P Global, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with data feeds, APIs, and data integration processes within financial systems
• Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis, validation, and investigation purposes
• Python scripting or data transformation experience is considered a strong advantage
• Understanding of quantitative finance concepts, financial modeling, or systematic investment methodologies is beneficial
• Experience working with project management and issue-tracking tools such as JIRA
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with meticulous attention to detail when handling complex data challenges
