Job Description

This role can be based in any of our US offices (San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Carpinteria, Omaha, Chicago, Detroit, New York, or Washington D.C.) or remotely based on where the chosen applicant resides. Candidate must live within US.

We are looking for a Senior Manager to advance marketing measurement strategy at LinkedIn, focusing on establishing our Media Mix Model (MMM) program across all lines of business and rolling out key analytics initiatives in US and UKI. The role sits under the Measurement Strategy & Optimization (MS&O) pillar where the candidate will have an opportunity to connect with experts in Incremental Testing and Multi-touch Attribution (MTA) programs to create standardized metrics, evolve the MMM program and connect it as part of our measurement standardization objectives.

The Senior Manager will work with marketers across all business units and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, customer success, data science, and FP&A to ensure alignment on measurement methodologies that are (a) addressing LinkedIn business objectives (b) delivering confidence with accurate results (c) future-proofed for a rapidly changing product and marketing landscape, (d) scalable across all lines of business, and (d) activated by the users who make decisions or optimize their plans based on the insights

The ideal candidate has led high visibility marketing measurement projects in matrixed organizations, understands marketing objectives and the tactics and channels used to support those objectives, has experience leveraging analytics to measure marketing effectiveness, has critical-thinking skills and an attention to detail, and is adept at marshaling resources (both directly managed and with cross-functional partners).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and expansion of our MMM program obtaining buy-in from all business units, stakeholders, and executives
  • Ensure alignment of definitions (Inputs and KPI’s) across all the stakeholders
  • Handle the relationship with our MMM partners ensuring timely delivery of commitments and managing contract and budget
  • Own projects from beginning to end, ensuring all stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, are brought along in the process.
  • Timely and transparently communicate progress and priorities across a complex stakeholder matrix.
  • Manage the scope of MMM deliverables, working with business to evolve it based on changing needs
  • Understand business needs and address those challenges with the MMM tools
  • Lead the charge in change management across the spectrum
  • Solve business questions using multiple data sets and tools and synthesize information with strong and simplified story telling
  • Identify opportunities to apply data science and analytics tools and models to measure business impact at multiple altitudes, from campaign effectiveness to overall marketing contribution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to find solutions that solve competing interests, define business rules for new and updated metrics, and drive implementation
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business goals and coordinate dependencies across cross-functional partners
  • Build strategic partnerships across functional leads and business units to foster better coordination and unlock innovative solutions for all of LinkedIn.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience (4+ years of direct experience in media measurement, marketing analytics, data analytics or marketing strategy)
  • BA or BS degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience

  • MBA or a Graduate degree in Economics, Business, Sciences or Analytics field strongly preferred
  • SQL experience or willingness to learn
  • B2B marketing analytics and media experience
  • Prior experience in Media Mix Modelling (MMM)
  • Experience project managing data science partners to build marketing models
  • Excellent sense of prioritization for self and others
  • Experienced problem solver, not afraid to question the norm
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and the Google productivity suite

The pay range for this role is $115,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
