Summary

The Sales Operations function serves as a strategic interface between Sales and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between customer demand, supply chain execution, and commercial performance.

The role focuses on consolidating and challenging sales forecasts, improving planning reliability, and representing Sales in S&OP and supply chain governance.

Sales Operations coordinates end-to-end demand planning, including long lead-time material processes, backlog visibility, risk and opportunity tracking, while Sales retains final business accountability. The function also acts as the central hub for cross-functional issue resolution, managing escalations and customer or product prioritization. The role is responsible for maintaining customer performance dashboards and operational KPIs using Power BI and multi-system data, supporting delivery performance, forecast accuracy, and overall Sales efficiency.

Additionally, it supports payment recovery coordination with Sales, Finance, and Credit Management teams, and collaborates with Supply Chain on inventory alignment, allocation, and risk-buy monitoring.

The role excludes ownership of pricing strategy, costing, order processing, lead-time management, and site allocation planning, which remain under respective functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and demand consolidation

  • Consolidate Sales inputs, challenge gaps, and track forecast accuracy to improve planning reliability, BU responsible for Sales forecasts inputs, representing Sales to all S&OP governances
  • Be the representative of Sales towards Operations to improve smooth production / Coordinate Sales answer to demand planning, this includes the long leadtime material process contribution, from the sales input until purchase order issuance
  • Responsible for the Sales Landing of BU Smartcard & Government: missing backlog detailed plan with Sales, estimated date of PO arrival, risks & opportunities tracking
  • Accountability stay at Sales for the final result
  • Will represent the Sales function in all governance related to this topic. All work should be based on Power BI figures, to ensure consistency.

Drive cross-functional issue resolution

  • Act as the operational hub between Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Quality, and Product teams for fast problem escalation and recovery
  • Manage escalation / prioritization process within customers & products

Maintain customer scorecards & performance analytics

  • Produce and manage customer dashboards with key operational KPIs (delivery, lead time, backlog behavior, forecast accuracy, performance trends)
  • Analyze efficiency of Sales & Ops (delivery, lead time, forecast accuracy, customer performance)
  • Extract multisystem data and produce high-level Sales/Ops reports
  • Track operational metrics (with CS): adherence to forecast, how many orders made, lead time, how many new customer, new relation and customer performance.

Support payment recovery & proactive customer follow-up

  • Monitor and drive payment collection actions in coordination with Sales and Finance
  • Sales representative with Linxens credit management teams, & Customer service, to ensure fast cash recovery and controlling the delivery plan to customer

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Work closely with supply chain to ensure appropriate allocation
  • Risk buy follow-up
  • Challenge operations on inventory vs forecast
