Marketing Data Analyst

Marketing Data Analyst

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused Marketing Data Analyst to support our client’s team. Your main responsibility will be building and maintaining accurate, insightful reporting in Google Sheets, ensuring our data is reliable and actionable. You’ll also run feedback collection processes, manage operational tasks, and support merchandising updates on internal platforms. This role suits someone who thrives on data accuracy, enjoys problem-solving, and can spot opportunities to make processes more efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

Data & Reporting

  • Build, maintain, and optimise dynamic dashboards in Google Sheets supported by AI (arrays, queries, advanced logic).
  • Use AI and formula-based tools to clean, validate, and manipulate large datasets.
  • Collect and consolidate data from spreadsheets, databases, and third-party platforms.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot inconsistencies in data, proactively raising and resolving issues.
  • Create clear, visual reports in Google Sheets and Mixpanel to support marketing insights.
  • Run and improve ongoing processes for collecting and analysing customer feedback.

Marketing Operations & Communication

  • Execute bulk email and SMS campaigns via platforms such as Mailchimp, Freshdesk, 160, and Clicksend.
  • Prior experience with these platforms is not required.
  • Clean, segment, and prepare customer data accurately for targeted campaigns.
  • Support merchandising and website updates on internal platforms (text, pricing, and images – no copywriting required).
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across multiple systems and third-party platforms.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Work closely with your manager and the marketing copywriter to deliver accurate, efficient outputs.
  • Actively highlight wins, risks, and opportunities to improve workflows.
  • Take ownership of tasks, balancing accuracy with proactive problem-solving.

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or marketing operations.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets: comfortable handling large data sets and creating basic formulas, with the ability to use AI tools to assist in building more complex ones.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to proactively identify issues and suggest practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable performing a variety of marketing and operational tasks.
  • Familiarity with Mixpanel (able to create and interpret dashboards/reports).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Freshdesk and Mailchimp preferred but not required.

What You’ll Gain:

  • The opportunity to become the go-to expert for marketing data and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with a wide variety of marketing operations tasks.
  • The chance to contribute ideas and improvements, not just execute tasks.

Independent Contractor Perks

  • HMO Coverage for eligible locations
  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
