The Data Scientist II will work with large and complex data sets to uncover insights that drive business decisions, applying technical and statistical techniques, building dashboards, and partnering with internal stakeholders to support business health, portfolio optimization, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Good understanding of statistical modelling and data cleansing techniques
- Experience with Hadoop and data warehouse environments
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) with excellent command of English
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality outputs
- Creative and innovative approach to addressing data challenges
- Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to operate with urgency and accountability
- Effective project management skills, including risk identification and mitigation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exposure and experience working with Financial Institutions or Payments industry (Preferred)
