Data Scientist, Product

Meta is seeking a Data Scientist, Product to contribute to the design and development of Meta products by collecting, organizing, and interpreting statistical data. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and three years of work experience in quantitative analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques.

Requirements

• Collect, organize, and interpret statistical data
• Apply quantitative analysis, data mining, and presentation of data
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends
• Inform and influence product decisions and launches
• Work on problems of diverse scope with evaluation of identifiable factors
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques
• Perform quantitative analysis, data querying, and statistical software
• Experience with ETL processes, relational databases, and large-scale data processing infrastructures
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques, clustering, regression, pattern recognition, and descriptive statistics
