We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Marketing to lead and elevate our marketing efforts. This pivotal role will report straight into our CEO, positioning marketing as a central driver of company success.
You will lead a team of three marketing professionals – a mid-level general marketer, a graphic designer, and a junior marketing executive – as well as manage two contractors specialising in paid social and copywriting. The ideal candidate will be adept at both high-level strategic planning and hands-on execution, thriving in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal structure and substantial autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:

- Manage relationships with external contractors in paid social and copywriting.
- Empower the team with clear direction, setting measurable goals and supporting career growth.
Strategic Marketing Direction:
- Take full ownership of the company’s marketing strategy, evolving the direction previously overseen by the Head of Product and CEO.
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans that align with business objectives and drive growth.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities to enhance brand relevance and demand generation.
Demand Generation and Brand Awareness:
- Design and execute strategies to generate demand among HR professionals and C-suite executives.
- Enhance brand visibility and credibility within the B2B sector.
- Utilise data-driven approaches to optimise marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Multi-Channel Marketing and Growth:
- Evaluate and expand marketing channels beyond current paid social efforts.
- Develop and implement multi-channel marketing strategies, including content marketing, email campaigns, events, and more.
- Innovate and test new approaches for demand generation and customer acquisition.
Performance and Conversion Optimisation:
- Drive performance across the marketing funnel, optimising for conversion at each stage.
- Leverage data and analytics to track campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Continuously improve lead nurturing strategies to increase sales pipeline efficiency.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure marketing efforts support overall business goals.
- Align marketing initiatives with product development timelines and sales objectives.
- Serve as the marketing voice in leadership discussions, contributing to strategic decision-making.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a senior B2B marketing role in a tech led product, preferably within the employee benefits, FinTech, or SaaS industries. B2C experience is a welcomed perspective.
- Strong track record in demand generation, brand building, and multi-channel marketing.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing a diverse marketing team.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically and adapt to a dynamic startup environment.
