Position Overview
As a Chief Marketing Officer, you will play a key role in driving our future growth. You will hold a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our marketing strategy and operations. Your primary focus will be on devising and implementing customer acquisition strategies, leveraging growth hacking techniques, and optimising our marketing efforts across organic and paid channels. You will lead a high-performing team of 10+ employees based in Berlin, Germany and will report to our Chief Executive Officer.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition through diverse channels, encompassing word-of-mouth, affiliates, referrals, content marketing, search engine optimization, and performance marketing.
- Enhance and optimise the company’s analytics, measurement, and reporting capabilities, to achieve ambitious and efficient growth targets.
- Develop and execute retention strategies to ensure long-term customer loyalty and maximise customer lifetime value.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a 10+ person team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Strengthen the current marketing team by hiring key leaders and individual contributors where necessary to support our growth trajectory.
- Oversee all facets of marketing planning, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.
Your Professional Skills And Background
- A minimum of ten years of marketing management experience in a high-growth environment, preferably focusing on financial products.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to harness data and insights for informed decision-making.
- Proven expertise in people management, including recruitment, coaching, and performance management.
- A track record of successfully developing and implementing marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition and retention at scale.
- Exceptional communication skills, for effectively conveying marketing strategies and initiatives internally and externally.
- Business-driven entrepreneurial mindset, characterised by high energy and a proactive ‘get things done’ attitude.
- Business level or higher level in English is a must; proficiency in German or other European languages will be considered a benefit.
