The Communications Manager will develop, execute, and advise on comprehensive communications strategies and initiatives that align to NAV CANADA’s broader corporate direction. This position reports to the Manager, Strategic Communications, and will lead a team of communications professionals to ensure the delivery of clear, consistent, and impactful messaging across a variety of channels and audiences.
Requirements
- Post secondary education in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in communications, with emphasis on strategic or employee communications
- Experience managing, developing, and implementing comprehensive and/or sensitive communications strategies in complex and dynamic environments
- Experience supervising staff in the development or implementation of communications strategies and products
- Experience with event planning
- In-depth knowledge of communications planning, communications practices, and the use of communications in business environments
- Knowledge of communications project management practices
- Knowledge of managerial practices and approaches
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products and their uses
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, digital photography, videography, and other multimedia products for use in the delivery of communications to audiences
