Oxford Nanopore Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst (Programmer) to extend the coverage of manufacturing data and analyse it to establish its explanatory power. The role will strengthen Technical Operation’s analysis capability to provide more comprehensive coverage of data representing individual stages of flow cell manufacture and develop analysis procedures to assess the utility of existing and new data.
Requirements
- Numerate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science
- Strong python programmer with detailed knowledge of manipulating data in Pandas
- Good understanding of statistical concepts and principles
- Proven ability to interpret data and understand underlying definitions
- Good data instincts (assess degree of confidence in findings, detect data quality issues, identify inconsistencies, filter out chaff)
- Excellent attention to detail, inquisitive by nature
- Able to apply scientific rigour and challenge assumptions
- Good presentation skills and confidently communicate and interact with multi-disciplinary teams
