Role Overview
We are seeking a Planner/Data Analyst to join our SFO office, contributing to a wide range of public and private sector projects including strategic planning for jurisdictions, regions, agencies, school districts and public institutions. The work is inclusive of facility planning, corridor and master planning, public and stakeholder engagement, and policy/area plan development.
What You Will Do
Project Coordination and Controls: Work on multiple planning and strategy projects for a variety of public clients, ensuring efficient project execution and integration with Perkins Eastman’s cross disciplinary teams. Conduct data analysis and data visualization efforts across concurrent projects, utilizing platforms such as R, Power BI, and Tableau.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in urban planning concepts, evaluation tools and methodologies, spatial analysis and the applicable regulatory environment and is comfortable managing complex datasets to provide actionable insights to move projects forward.
Requirements
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, 3 years of professional experience in urban planning and/or architecture fields
- Understanding core principles of performance management and equity analysis
- Experience conducting GIS analysis, web development, and database management
- Experience with Python or other programming languages for data analysis and GIS workflows is a plus
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Power BI and Tableau
- Proven ability to process and analyze large data sets for planning and decision-making purposes
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
