Manager Financial Planning and Special Projects

Within the context of a client and family-centered model of care, the Manager, Financial Planning and Special Projects is a key member of the Providence Health Care Finance Team, responsible for financial planning, strategic initiatives, and special projects. The role provides leadership for major strategic initiatives and special projects, develops financial and workload performance levels, and oversees project evaluation and quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Health/Business Administration or Commerce
  • Completion of recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, or CMA)
  • Seven to ten years’ of recent related financial planning experience
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, transaction advisory, and / or major capital investment analysis
  • Advanced experience with financial modelling for strategic, capital, or transactional decisions
  • Excellent financial modelling, business evaluation and pricing experience
  • Ability to interpret and assess capital project proposals, investment options, and long-term funding strategies
  • Experience providing strategic financial advisory for major initiatives, partnerships, or transformational projects
  • Ability to synthesize financial and operational implications of complex transactions into clear recommendations for executives and Boards
