What Makes This Role Great:

  • High Impact Leadership & Scope of Responsibility: You will oversee the success of Business Development, Marketing, and Customer Success functions, leading a team of 6 direct reports and 17 total members. In this high-impact role, you will own our land and expand strategy, driving growth within existing accounts and identifying new market opportunities. Your leadership will ensure alignment and drive revenue growth, leveraging Revenue Operations to optimize processes and performance.
  • Sales & Marketing Alignment: You will have the ability to ensure seamless collaboration across all revenue functions, with shared KPIs, a well-defined lead handoff process, and a curated customer journey that fosters loyalty and drives revenue. Additionally, you will represent the voice of our customers, ensuring their needs and feedback are integrated into our strategies. Your efforts will create a cohesive and efficient team environment, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Revenue Growth: Drive revenue through new customer acquisition, new business lines, partnerships, and growth within existing accounts.
  • Go-to-Market Focus: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Canada and the US, leveraging market opportunities and competitive insights.
  • Innovative Processes: Implement scalable and efficient sales and marketing strategies and process.
  • Oversee Cross-Functional Teams: Ensure success in Business Development, Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success.
  • Build High-Performance Teams: Lead and develop a team of 6 direct reports and 17 members through mentorship and professional development.
  • Foster Excellence: Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead Sales Forecasting: Lead sales forecasting, revenue planning, and P&L management for your departments.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Foster strong, data-driven decision-making to track performance, refine strategies, and adjust tactics as needed.
  • Build a High-Performing Team: Build a high-performing, cross-functional team with aligned goals and a focus on customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Leverage High Performers: As an experienced leader, bring high performers into the business.
  • Drive Brand Strategy: Drive brand strategy, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all touchpoints and communications.
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure strategic alignment with business goals, contributing to long-term growth and sustainability.
  • Leverage Market Research: Leverage market research to stay ahead of trends, competitors, and customer needs, adjusting sales and marketing approaches accordingly.
  • Cultivate Relationships: Cultivate strong industry relationships, strengthening Rodan’s position in the market.
  • Serve as a Thought Leader: Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert, representing Rodan at industry events and in the media to share insights on best practices, market trends, and innovations in the energy management sector.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record of scaling sales and marketing teams to achieve significant, sustainable revenue growth.
  • Experience driving revenue growth in high-growth, technical, or complex industries, with a demonstrated ability to manage and optimize sales, account management and marketing functions to achieve top-line results.
  • Expertise in energy management or related industries is preferred, but we are open to leaders with a proven ability to drive growth and develop deep domain expertise in technical sectors, with a focus on long-term, sustainable revenue streams.
  • In-depth understanding of North American electricity markets, particularly in distributed energy resources (DER), demand response, energy intelligence, and metering solutions.
  • Experience managing cross-border teams with a strategic vision, strong execution focus, and a hands-on leadership approach.
  • Proven P&L responsibility, with expertise in sales forecasting, revenue planning, and financial management to ensure long-term profitability and growth.
  • Ability to create and lead sales enablement strategies, drive customer retention, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction across all customer touchpoints.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives, customers, and other key stakeholders to align efforts toward business objectives.
  • Data-driven decision-making with a proven track record of using CRM systems (Salesforce or similar), analytics tools, and automation platforms to optimize sales performance and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation and process improvement initiatives in sales and marketing functions, ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities.
  • Collaborative leadership style, with a focus on building high-performance teams, setting clear goals, and driving team alignment to achieve shared KPIs.
  • post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
