This opportunity is in the Business Development Department:

The Business Development department serves as a liaison between brokers and underwriters, advocating the position of each to identify production sources and achieve revenue goals within the designated territory. The team comprises dynamic individuals who value collaboration, creativity, innovation, and teamwork. We rely on data and technology supplied by our Revenue Optimization team to guide our next steps, and we foster a consultative sales approach that listens to our client’s needs and tailors customized solutions.

Role Description:

In the role of Revenue Optimization Analyst, you will impact revenue outcomes by focusing on refining data, processes, and systems. You will cultivate the sales pipeline database, analyze revenue-generating activity for actionable insights, and visualize your findings for all levels of the organization. By taking the data and turning it into meaningful content that can be consumed by leaders tasked with revenue growth goals, you will directly impact Safety National’s ability to reach production goals.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include extracting and scrubbing pipeline data from external sources, building reports and dashboards within Power BI and Salesforce, presenting your findings, partnering with enterprise Data Analysts and Data Scientists to build models and more complex dashboards to aid in decision-making, and partnering with the Systems Operations team to maintain data integrity and generate system enhancements.

Qualifications:

Education:

A bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in a related field (e.g. Business, Marketing, Finance, Communications, Data Analytics). Work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree in a related field.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in revenue, sales, marketing, business operations, business analytics, or a similar field
  • Proven track record of preparing meaningful reports, analyses, and data visualizations from raw data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and translate abstract concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Able to handle confidential information and correspondence
  • Must be a self-starter

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a sales operations or revenue operations/optimization role
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform
  • Experience with business intelligence and data analytics visualization applications such as Power BI Qlik, or Tableau
  • Some knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL, VBA, R, or Python
  • Basic knowledge of or experience within the insurance industry
  • Ability to travel overnight upon request
