Sales Manager ( Proactive)

The Sales Manager will be responsible for implementing sales action plans, achieving departmental goals, and promoting sales for the hotel. They will also be responsible for forecasting rooms’ revenue, attending trade shows, and maintaining client relationships.

Requirements

  • Implement all sales action plans related to the respective market
  • Actively participate in achieving the departmental goals
  • Closely monitor accounts revenue and business production
  • Maximize up-selling opportunities
  • Assist the Commercial Manager in forecasting rooms’ revenue
  • Attend major travel functions and promotional events
  • Plan sales trips and call on accounts within specific market areas
  • Gather information on competitors and report to the Director of Sales
  • Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas
  • Negotiate with accounts on banquet, outside catering events
  • Develop increased room nights and banquet revenue
  • Disseminate group information to other departments
  • Oversee the operation of banquet functions and ensure quality service
  • Regularly review Master A/C postings and verify total charges on invoices
  • Establish and maintain files of major accounts and assist in maintaining the accounts management system
