The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in driving long-term growth for Samuel Automation by actively developing new markets, identifying high-value prospects, and building a strong pipeline across targeted manufacturing industries.
Requirements
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within targeted sectors.
- Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales team.
- Engage early with prospective customers to understand manufacturing processes, operational challenges, and automation needs.
- Develop strong relationships with operations, engineering, and plant leadership within target accounts.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Applications, and Marketing to align opportunity development with strategy.
- Support market segmentation and account targeting initiatives, providing feedback on market trends and customer needs.
- Represent Samuel Automation at trade shows, industry events, and customer site visits.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete CRM data to ensure full pipeline visibility and disciplined forecasting.
- Deliver clear insights to internal stakeholders on emerging market needs, competitive dynamics, and areas of strategic growth.
